Do I need a perfect photo?

No. Any photo you love works, no need for a posed or front-facing shot. You don't need to make a drawing either; we turn your photo into the engraving. A close-up where you can see their eyes looks best, and one pet per charm gives the clearest engraving. We look at every photo before we make your necklace.

How do I fill the necklace?

Unscrew the cap at the top of the cylinder, add a small pinch of ashes using a folded piece of paper, and screw the cap back on firmly. For photos of every step, see our guide to filling an urn necklace.

How much does it hold?

Only a small pinch. The cylinder is 0.2 in wide, so the space inside is meant for a symbolic amount of ashes, a little fur, or a tiny keepsake.

What does the photo engraving look like?

The charm is laser engraved as a line portrait made from your photo, like the examples in our photos. It is engraved, not printed, so colors are not reproduced.

What can I engrave on the cylinder?

How is this different from your other urn necklaces?

Yes. In a set of 2 or 3, every necklace has its own finish, its own photo, and its own name.

How should I care for it?

Keep it away from water: take it off before showering, swimming, washing your hands, or exercising, and store it somewhere dry. Keep it away from perfume and cleaning products, too.

When will my necklace arrive?

Most orders arrive in 11–18 business days with free tracked U.S. shipping (2–4 business days to make it, then 9–14 in transit).

What if it arrives damaged or isn't right?

Email support@pawtraittown.com with your order number and a few photos, ideally within 14 days of delivery. If it arrived damaged, defective, or made incorrectly, we'll send a free replacement, or refund you if we can't. You don't need to send anything back.
